High Speed Doors

KDS High Speed Doors are an energy efficient solution for busy openings. Suitable for a high traffic flow, its fast action dramatically reduces heat loss, contamination by noise, airborne pollution and time lost wailing for conventional types of doors to open. We also design all our high speed doors with energy conservation in mind.

The KDS range of high speed door systems have been designed using the latest CAD technology, which together with our quality management system produces high speed door systems which can be fitted internally and externally and is designed to withstand a variety of conditions. All KOS high speed doors are designed and manufactured at our premises in Smethwick. This enables complete control over manufacture and installation with an excellent availability on any replacement parts.

High Speed Door Range and Specification:
K100 - Designed for internal use only where the panition of different environments is required as standard the K100 is constructed from primarily galvanised components. The bottom rail will break out upon impact and subsequently re-insert itself. All Parts on a K100 are made from non-corrosive materials such as stainless steel and P.V.0 and this allows the cleaning of the door on a regular basis.

K200 - Designed for internal and external opening where partial wind loading or extraction pressures are present. K200 is equipped with a break out bottom rail, if impact occurs the door system will continue to operate once the curtain has been pushed back into position, thus eliminating expensive downtime.

K300 - Designed for internal and external openings where there are direct wind loading and extraction pressures. The doors are equipped with a unique tensioning system, which keeps the door curtain under constant tension during its open and closing cycles. For the totally exposed application a wind bar system would be incorporated.

High Speed Door Curtain Arrangements:
Fully clear P.V.0 with central warning strip (Internal doors only) Curtain combination with 2 ply monofilament curtain incorporating full width clear window 800mmi900mm deep. Other combination options are available upon request. Fabric curtain is produced in a variety of colours: Orange Blue, Yellow, Black. Red. Green. White, Other colours are available depending on availability and quantity. Warning signs can also be incorporated on either side.

KDS Safety:
All motor drive units on our high speed doors are direct drive operation with built in safety brake to prevent the door from free fall descent. Bottom rail safety option of a fail safety pneumatic/electronic safety edge. Safety photo cell positioned within door columns. Low voltage (24 volt) control circuit with L.E.D indicator. Variable automatic return between 3-90 seconds. Latching emergency stop system.
