Particularly appropriate for small car parks e.g., for offices and hotels, the mechanisms are designed to be long lasting and of minimum inconvenience to those using them.

The usual application of sliding gates is to secure the main vehicle entrance, overcoming the problems sometimes created by the large swing space required by hinged gates to protect the same opening. MDS trackless gate systems are designed to slide independent of the road surface ensuring operation even in wintry conditions of ice and snow or surface debris. The gates are typically constructed from heavy rolled section, hollow section forms outer frame with vertical bars, weld mesh or steel plate forming the infill.

For weather protection the supporting construction is enclosed within the bottom rail whilst the supporting rollers with anti-friction bearings are mounted.
